Thanks for this info Ms Etten! This would definitely help me set some realistic directions to my plans.
More questions po if you don’t mind.
Do you have an idea on how safe or clean waste water from water refilling stations? My neighbor has this business and he’s offerring his waste water for free or for very small amount. This will lessen my water expense but I wanted to make sure that this will not affect the quality of our service. Magkano na ba po ba tubig ngayon per cubic meter pag business? Kasi alam ko sa residential eh mura lang din.
Do you also use pressure pumps/tanks for your washers since these require a certain psi for water pressure? Or water coming directly from nawasa/maynilad is sufficient enough to do the job? I’m guessing not, but I hope I can also hear your opinion on this.
Thanks again and more power!

Hi Benru,
I will only reply based on my experience, so i hope you bear with me.
In the case of waste water coming from WRS, I don’t have an idea how safe it is. Though I’ve talked to a friend before, and she actually suggested that I put up a WRS also, kasi nga daw madaming wastewater yun and it only needed softening para magamit for laundry, kasi hardened na ang waste water. ( yan ang pagkakaalam ko ha)
I used to have pumps before kasi sa bilis ng required turn over ng clients, pero sa ngayon, hindi na rin ako gumagamit, kasi Manila Water in our area is pressured enough for my machines to run normally. When I removed my booster pump, nabawasan ang electric bill ko.
I’m not sure if it would work for your shop though.
Happy Weekend!
Etten

Hi, Waste water from water refilling station are safe for laundry shop. Actually, what i was told by the system i bought from, is that the water are clean. Its better than the water that we got from nawasa, since it passed thru different filtration. (post filtration ang tawag namin dun, which remove the rust, and other sediments plus the odor of the water) Kaya naman nagiging waste water yun, is because the r.o. system are separating all the minerals from the water that are sold. Purified water kasi ang binebenta ng water station, kaya ZERO minerals. While our body need some minerals din, but not too much. Pero for laundry, its relatively safe. Yun pang backwash lang na tubig ang wag mo gagamitin. Kasi from time to time, we manually backwash the FRP tank (except to those who has a great system that cost huge fortune, automatic sa kanila). Kasi ang mga tubig na galing sa backwash are those that are concentrated with dirt. yun kasi ang mga naiwan na mga dumi na galing sa filtration.
Ang price ng water ngayon from maynilad is 60 pesos per cubic meter. and 30 naman for residential.
hope nakatulong ito.
good luck!
