hello ms.etten….i just would like to ask some help or assistance regarding my problem with my unclaimed items….i have lots of this and it really gives me a head ache and affects my profits….tulog ang puhunan ko dito…..any option to avoid this???….i’m afraid if we ask payment upon receiving the laundries may affect our image or the customers may get disappointed although we will be implementing this for new customers and by explaining them the reason of imposing this. is there anything else that u can suggest para naman di ako malugi ng tuluyan??? maraming salamat po and more good luck on ur biz.
my solution:
-there’s a clause in my job order stating that “Articles not claimed within 30 days shall be charged double”
-”Articles not claimed within 60 days, shall be subjected to FORFEITURE.” - (but a lot of my customers, even if i charge them triple after 60 days, they still pay…)
-MR. LAUNDRY shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from force majeure
-i once gave 5% discount for pre-payment, ok naman. a lot really paid advance.
then:
-i sell the unclaimed items as ukay ukay
-items not sold in the ukayukay, i donate.
of course, there’s always some exemption to the rule, and those are my valuable clients that live in a very small condominium. they ask me to store their 6-8 pcs comforters in my laundry shoppe, to that i can’t say no, coz everytime they claim their comforters, another set of 6-8 pcs. comes in for laundry, not a bad deal, right?
i hope this answered your query,my friend from pm..
