i went down to 27 per kilo kc ung 29 per kilo e un ung nakaestablished na ng good name with various branches na along manila tos my pick up station din sila…i went down sa 27 kc my mga 23 at 25 pa along our area…ble 4 competitor ko dun..juz found out last week…ung tig 29, tig 23 , tig 25 and tig 28 …the customers of of tig 29 and 28 ung pumupunta sakin now…the reason is malau ung tig 29 tos ung tg 28 d satisfied sa service. if my loyal customers na ko …dun na siguro ako magtataas…tgal pa un coz pinag aaralan ko palang ung business..unicahija-
For me, this is my principle in business: “Never compete with price”. A lot of customers if not all considers quality first before price. Price is only a part of marketing. If you compete with price, you will look for ways to cut down cost which might result to inferior quality of your service. If your competitor lowers his price by P5, he must have more customers in order to level your profit, in which case, he must be spending more time washing and his machines must have worked harder, which means higher maintenance costs. Some customers say why is it that others charge lower than ours (wanting for discounts), we will tell them we cannot lower our price because we do the standard procedure.
If you charge also higher than others, you will attract the upper class which has less dirt customers. If you go P20 per kg, it might attract the construction workers or the auto mechanics or the like (I’m not trying to belittle these men but these usually doesn’t go to laundry shops).
That’s only my opinion…
