How Long Does A Laundry Machine Last #748

Posted by mrlaundry in August 14th 2008

to everyone who are in this business for more than three years:
In your own experience, does a 10.5kg top load machine last for three years? This will help in my comp*tation of the equipment depreciation. Thank you.

I’m already 6 years in the business, and my toploads are still working, except for my other unit that bogged down because hindi ginagamit.

btw, my top loads are all maytag, i also have a 6.0 kg samsung automatic that’s been working for 4 years now..

etten,
how about whirlpool? all my machines are whirlpool, except for the front load which is speed queen. Meron kasi Abenson dito and nakuha ko yung ibang units at 0% for 6 months at saka walang maytag dito. Ung speed queen ko is from manila and I’m having problem with the after sales service although wala pa namang major problem.
Anyone who are experienced using whirlpool?

kb,
share mo naman quality ng mga units mo, and I’m very struck with your post: ” If you want something which you’ve never had, you must do something that you’ve never done”. I like that.

The laundry business is not new to me since sanay akong maglaba nung single pa ako. But I didn’t enjoy washing!!!!!. I just did it because of necessity, (huhuhu, walang pambayad ng labandera).

I just got the idea when I got married and I found it hard to look for a labandera so I figured that others might share the same problem with me. Indeed, when I made some surveys with my friends, they also have problems with looking for a labandera. So, I made up my mind to put up this business. Unfortunately, of all the friends I surveyed, only one became a customer!!! Ganyan talaga mga friends, sabihin nila maganda plano mu just to support you. So, if you want to start other business, don’t just ask comments from your friends who will always tell you the positive side. Anyway, I find the business okey, in fact, I’m looking forward to opening another branch soon. (personal sharing na ‘to ah).

Just last week, one of my customers was offered by other laundry (a new comer) less P5 sa price namin and free pick up and delivery pa. e observe ko lang kung babalik yun. will tell you later, but if you ask me if I get down with their price? - NO WAY! For me price is not the main consideration in marketing! Tingnan natin kung talagang effective yung ‘Law of Compensation” otherwise known as the “Law of Karma” which states that “anything you do will return to you”.

My machines are all whirlpool except for one pair of speed queen washer and dryer. Some of my machines are already more than three years old. There are already some parts that were already repaired and/or replaced but generally they all still in good working condition.

I know a laundry where her machines are all whirlpool brand and around 10 years old now, still doing well together with her laundry business.

So far, wala pa naman problema sa machines ko. We are using Electrolux, Speed Queen and Whirlpool.
