Thanks Etten and Denzon for the suggestions regarding the suppliers of the laundry plastic bags and flyers. I’ll try to go to Divisoria sometime in the next two weeks to look for plastic bag and hanger supplies. I’m already working on the design of the promotional flyers and tarpaulins for the shop. Simple lang kasi di naman ako artistic. Kaya lang baka magtaas presyo na ang mga printers/copiers in view of the forthcoming large demand for production of election-related campaign materials.

The shop is already two weeks under my new management. I’m still learning the ropes of the business. I have a full-time job kaya di rin ako makatutuok ng maigi sa shop but the staff are telling me that I spend more time than the previous owner managing the business. The previous owner kasi just collected the receipts and didn’t bother much with the operations. Kaya naman I have to learn the business quickly and re-orient the staff for better accountability. After spruicing up the place and purchasing new laundry-related small equipment, yung process naman ang pinagaaralan ko. I’m going over the way orders and payments for laundry services are being recorded. I’m also reviewing the way receivables are being tracked. Perhaps you can also share your tracking systems/procedures.

If I may add, beware of your staff who are not issuing job orders or receipts. They can do this to cheat you when they are very much acquaianted with customers already…

My management style is spot audit of cash box in a surprise visit. I do not have pattern of schedule of my visits. I remember when I fired my newly hired staff in one of my pick-up point branches when I found out that my “ampao” is empty. (Nakalagay po doon ang pera ng first sale ko, trying hard chinese tayo e hehehe)…Nang malaman ko ay sinoli naman kaya lang galing na sa bulsa nya…Kaya sa lahat ng branch nabalitaan nila ito kaya takot sila gumawa ng kalokohan sa akin…
