Hi Ms. Etten:
I have been reading the thread for a week now and I found it very helpful. Currently I have a Laundry Shop business in our Planet
I envy your prices. My one branch the areas prices (believe me) WF 15.00/Kg. WP 30.00/Kg.!!! However, there are areas at 20.00/kg. and 30.00/kg. respectively.
I just have a question because you’ve mentioned that before putting items in the dryer, you hang it first, for how long? What type of clothes are this? (those 5-10 mins drying time) What about the towels? so how long hanging time and dryer time? What do you mean of hang dr? is it inside your shop area? With the washing area, drying area (hang dry) and packing area what’s the shop total floor area?
Hope you can answer my questions soon for I’m planning to put my other branch with 20.00/kg.here everything is there already for I did the costing and i can save more if i wash onsite, rather than bring everything to the house for washing.
Thanks in advance and God Bless.. you’re an inspiration to all!!-dylan_22
hi dylan!
I’m shocked at your price of WP 30/kilo. You should fold the clothes straight from the dryer, will look ironed if done properly.Because your price is so cheap, meaning other items should subsidize the cost.
as for your question, there’s really no definite time as to how long you have to hang it dry..it depends on the weather actually. like if its too hot, as in after 15 mins you can already put items in the dryer, but if its raining, it would take longer time to hang dry..maybe about 1-2 hrs..and yes, hang drying inside/within my laundry shop.
how are we to take advantage of hang drying? look at your order of priorities..like in our shop, we have schedules for each customers for their pick up or deliver..so if the customer says he’ll pick up after 2-3 days, then he’s the right customer to choose,
meaning his clothes can be hang dried.
for the area, depends on the set-up..and the area available? need to study it further to maximize the space especially if you have to put everything( washer, dryer, ironing area, dry cleaning area, etc.) in it
i hope i answered your queries.- monette
Hi Ms. Etten:

Hi to all! Im not familiar with the names of the rest but am so grateful to all of them dhil sa participation sa interactions sa laundry site na ito. I am learning so much, the pros and cons of the different situations, and the updates. At higit sa lahat sa initiator na si Ms. Monette na walang kadamot-damot sa katawan dhil she shares everything she knows khit competitors nya ang mga ito.
Anyways, my inquiry is regarding the salary of the staff. I’ve been reading the thread, bka namiss out ko ang page pero wla akong nabasa tungkol sa pasweldo.
-Are they being given basic salary/month or a per day rate?
-How many working hours per day and how many day-off?
-How about overtime, meron ba extra or included na sya sa basic salary? If there is, how many percent of the basic or how much should we pay for their OT hours?
-How about other benefits like sss and schedule of vacation leave?
-Are your shops open 7days a week? What time do you open/close?
-What are the peak hours for customer drop-off and pick-up?
-Ang washing ba ay 24 hours tuloy-tuloy? Kasi i was thinking kung malaki ang tanggap for the day baka hindi agad sya matapos within the 24hrs turnover.
Thank you in advance. Regards.
