February 10th, 2010 @1:03 pmHi Monette, we’re on our 4th month na ng operations so far ok naman yung sales pataas naman except this month parang mahina. Pero unlike tom di umaabot sa 100kilos/day ko condo din nakatayo yung shop ko at 3 kami sa 2 buildings ng condo.
May magtatayo na naman bago sa tabi pa namin halos. so 4 na kami sa building and kaming 3 pare pareho ng price pero itong bago narinig namin mag 25/kilo daw which way too low than our prices. Dapat bang babain ko narin ang price ko since ako lang yung bago amongst the first 3 laundry shops na parang naghahabol parin ng market? Or should I stay sa 30/kilo ko.
Thanks
Hi Kiko,
Maintain your price at Php30/kilo. Pag nagbaba sya, wag nyo sundan.. it would only create price war. Just stick to what you’ve started and as much as possible keep in close contact with your customers..If you are offering pick and deliver, it is only normal that you have a record of their phone numbers and addresses, if not better to start now. This way you’ll be able to closely monitor and also follow up on your customers..
Wag nyo pansinin ang bagsak presyo ng kalaban, kasi pag bumaba ka, imagine kung magkano ang mawawala sa iyo? thats about 15% of your current price..importante ma maintain mo ang customer mo now and if possible give extra service or basta provide the best service that your customer would appreciate..
Good luck!,

Hi Monet, I agree with your comment regarding price of competitor. I started my business Oct 2009 after my business partner attended your seminar in Manila. What we did was to put up the shop in a location where prices are a bit higher P25/kg in other areas only P18/kg. Since ours will be the 4th laundry shop in the location and we are the newest I did some calls on my competitors shop and got infos of their pricing. I don’t want to create price war and as a respect to them I priced ours the same. To be more competitive we focus on quality, that why before we opened our shop I had my laundry done by the 3 competitor shop and evaluate the quality of their service. From the result we made it a point that we processed customers laundry better than they did. After 5 months in operation we are now averaging 50kg/day from 25kg/day average last year. Some of their customers transfered in our shop because we are open Monday-Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm and of course we guarantee 1 day laundry service. And yes we keep track of our customers and create good relationship with them.
