hi monette,
my laundry shop opened 3 days ago and have few questions to inquire if it is fine with you? our price is 25/kg and our competitors are charging 22/kg for a minimum of 10 kgs, but below that is charge to 25/kg also.
i noticed that other laundry shop near me are not accepting adult underware. they are bringing this stuff to us, how do i handle this situation? do i have the right to refuse it or do i need to charge a different rate? other question is, how much is the ideal rate for press only, by piece or kg?
i’m so excited whenever there are customers coming inside my shop, i am thankful from all the tips that i learned from your seminar.
hope that i could be a member of the organization.
thank you very much and more power to you.

Hi Edgar,
Congratulations on your opening. How’s the price holding up? I hope you already have regular customers considering the personalized attention you give them.
Since your competitor has that promo, you can equal that by introducing the same, only have it modified para naman di mukhang gaya gaya. 10kilogram requirement is fair enough, what you’ll be after is the volume.
As for the undies, you can offer options to your customers, you price them premium, let’s say 60 pesos per kilo or if you really don’t want to process, you can nicely turn it down. But since you’ve already started processing, might as well continue accepting. You just load it in the machine anyways. Honestly, customers that have their undies and delicates brought to the laundry proves they are not “maselan”. They don’t mind their intimate personal items being handled by just anyone..which only means you can just load it in the machine and have the machine do the “dirty” works.
Good luck and always stay positive!
