i need to confirm what I gathered from a supplier of washing machines…when I asked if it is better to use front load than a top load, he said for laundry shops it is really advisable to use top load because its more water and electricity economical. I told him i thought it is the front load which conserve water and electricity and he said with front load, you will need to consume about 1 1/2-2hrs to process one load whereas a top load needs only half of the time to process hence the needs of front load to consume more electricity, albeit less water..please clarify this…
In 2 weeks or so I am planning to buy the equipment but up to now I am confused what to buy….-spc
Looks like the person you talked to is a supplier of top load machine.
Advantage of front load machines: cleans better, energy efficient , consumes less water(about 3/4 less water) gentle on clothes. Only disadvantage: You have to bend down or kneel to reach or load clothes. Drains water better as the spin cycle reaches up to 1200 rpm. As to the washing cycle, there are models now that can be set to Quick wash cycle
Advantage of Top Load: Cheaper, doesn’t lock and some models can be opened in the middle of the cycle. Shorter washing cycle
