“I got interested here because I met someone selling her laundry shop. They are migrating to the US. She is selling it for 550k pesos though I think she is expecting some bargaining . According to the owner, gross sale is 120k pesos, rent of 10k, utilities 5k, water of 100/tank with consumption of 2 tanks per day. Actually the water came from the water biz besides the laundry shop. Its the waste water. Franchise fee of 6k per month. The owner said the laundry is doing good, since its franchised and quite known already. They charge 25/kg.
I doubt though the 120k per month since this will mean a 160kg load per day. I went to their shop and got to talk to the crew since the owner was not around when I went there. They said they make average 100kg per day. This means only 75k per month.
I want to know how much is the actual electricity cost for 2 washers and 2 dryers (gas) and a pump and 2 electric fans. I forgot to ask for the load of the washing machines and dryers but they look like the usual washing machines in the laundry shops. Maybe 10.5kg. I think 5k for utilities is too cheap.
Also, how much do you think is the fair price of the laundry shop? If you were in my shoes, how much would you buy the business?Ty.”
Taking the data you posted, I’ll buy the shop for 200k..250k the most. The franchise is no longer needed given the history of the laundry shop. Just pull up the business to increase sales. 5k for utilities is cheap considering the load the owner declared. Btw, the actual electricity cost of the washers and dryers depends on the volume of the laundry. The bigger the load, the more expensive the consumption..there’s no fix amount, only averaging.

I was on Yahoo and found your blog. Read a few of your other posts. Good work. I am looking forward to reading more from you in the future.
