November 27th, 2009 @7:52 pmHi.. i just want to ask how do you do your inventory of stocks? ofcourse there is a possibility na kumukupit ang staff mo ng sabon at fab conditioner esp. pag wala ka mismo sa shoppe.. how do you monitor your supplies? please let me know.. thanks..
Hi Hershey,
I have developed a system that works on my shop for years now. It’s not even a POS system, it’s an old school system. I have separate log books for receivable transactions and another logbook for incoming transactions, claimed items, number of kilos where I reconcile everything. The detergent, it’s where the Charlies soap comes in handy because it is very easy to monitor. Since one scoop of Charlies can process 7 kilos of clothes, I issue my staff 10 scoops to total the number of kilos to 70 kilos per day. If they consume all that, meaning they also were able to process all 70 kilos of clothes. I let my staff list down the JO’s that they have processed so I can double check.
Of course if the staff really is determined to pilfer, then they will no matter how creative you are in monitoring.
Best thing to do is to develop in your staff honesty and trustworthiness. That way, their conscience would somehow keep the better of them and maintain the principle that you have shared them.
Have a nice week ahead!
