i’m too thinking of putting up same on our ville but to cater wash-dry-and fold services only (i gained more interest through reading at your blog…hehehe). my location is strategic enough for the business (i think, nasa kanto kasi and malapit lang sa gate and malapit sa terminal ng mga trike ). but, i fear that the current global financial crisis will pull it down. should i still push through it? or later n lang? i have one samsung automatic washing machine 9.0 Kg of capacity, maganda naman performance nya and besides i already have a process which i used when washing our clothes. i still have space in front of my house that i can use to dry clothes. is it advisable to hang their clothes to open?ok lang kaya sa customer yun? thanks in advance for your generous reply.

Hi Jhay, There’s nothing wrong putting up your business in a busy area. In fact, high traffic means more customers. I would dare say global financial crisis can be taken as a state of mind and anybody can beat it. You can always succeed in anything you do for as long as you have the desire and you focus on it. One unit of samsung automatic machine can be sufficient for starter then expand later. Limiting your services to wash and fold only instead of wash-dry-fold limits your capacity. I would suggest you train someone to do the pressing so eventually you can also cater wash-dry-press customers. Good luck and Have a nice day!

Im torn between franchise and having our own name.
Franchise po kasi I have investors like my Uncle who wanted a franchise.
I want my own name kasi yun nga cheaper and sa tingin ko naman po this is not a hard-to-manage business compare sa restaurant and the like na may malaking inventory. (tama po ba?)
May “Lavandera Ko” na malapit dito sa amin eh ang naisip ko kung sarili kong name gusto ko malapit lang din dito sa amin… Question po (hehe), ano po maaring maging niche namin sa mga kilalalng laundry shop na if ever magtayo kami ng sarili namin? Should we compete with their price or lower pa?… May chance po ba kami makakuha ng market namin? Do we expect a customer sa first day? first week?
Sensya po ha kung dami ko tanung, gusto ko nga iemail nalnag kayo para isahan hehe salamat po. Interested din ako umattend ng seminar niyo pero sana mas maagang date so we can decide kung franchise na or sarili target operational date kasi namin October 2009.
