hi everyone!
SOS po sa mga veterans sa laundry business…
i have a laundry shop which opened last Nov. 27 and so far okay naman (i guess) i mean… hindi naman po ako nawawalan ng customer in a day but minsan talaga its very minimal like less than 10 kilos. but at least now nakikilala na ako sa place namin yun nga lang i need to do a lot of marketing pa. i just want to ask this ff questions:
1. dapat ba talaga i handwash lahat ng whites after ibabad? kasi madudumi pa rin yung mga collar eh…(do we really need to handwash whites after soaking? collar is still dirty..)
2. sa pillows naman po, kahit i dryer na they still stink… kailangan ba talaga maarawan? i have a client na nag pa laba ng pillows which i charged 300 for 3 pcs. ang baho talaga as in kahit nilabhan ko na, tapos dryer na for hours ganun pa rin, goose feathers kasi yung nasa loob ng pillows eh, kanina pinainitan ko na and medyo nag fluffy na naman pero mabaho pa rin talaga. what can i do? (pillows still stink after dryer. Do we need to set them under the sun?
3. ano pong brand ng iron ang ginagamit niyo po sa pag plantsa ng barong and gowns? kasi po kahit ano gawin ko kusot pa rin sa may burda ng barong. (what brand of iron do you use for ironing?)
4. sa mga plastics po na ginagamit sa shop ano po ba sizes dapat? sa mga barongs? long gowns?(what are the sizes of plastics we use for barongs and long gowns?)
5. im going to deposit tom for the module i need it badly!
hope you can help me po! thanks mucho!
Starchedn’pressed,
Congratulations on your opening!
I guess you opened the shop without attending a seminar? Just followed your gut feel and went for it! That’s a good move and I admire you for that.
Here’s the answers to your questions:
1. Yes, collars should be brushed and cleaned until the dirt disappears. This is expected of you since our job is to clean clothes.
2. You can dry the pillows in the dryer and don’t forget that in the process, take the pillows out every now and then and sort of fluff the pillow. check also for the clumps of feather and try to break them up. To get rid of the stinking smell, you need to set them under the sun.
3. I use the ordinary steam iron.
4. We have several sizes of plastics, you can source that out from your nearby market and ask them for laundry sizes.
5. No problem. Better if you can attend the seminar.
Have a nice day!
